Dani's T-Room is awarded the TG Award of Excellence by the
Transgendered Network International
It's only been a few months since this project was little more than
a glimmer in my eyes... a conversation with my Aunt Janie started the
ball rolling. "Dani, I'm sick and tired of all the abuse we have to put
up with," she moaned. It's not like Aunt Janie to moan either. "Can you
put a website together so we don't have to keep taking this?" she asked.
Well here it is, a little baby of but a few months old.
Already the response has been fantastic - one of the great things about
being in the transgendered community is that the vast majority of people
who aren't in this from a primary motivation of sexual kicks are so nice!
There are tons of really sincere, genuine transgendered people out there
and the amount of support and encouragement they give so freely always
makes me happy to be one of them.
And to add a little cherry to the start of it all, the Transgendered
Network International awarded me their TG Award of Excellence today,
oh yes! Debra Berube of TGNI said:
Congratulations! Your site has been selected as one that openly helps
other TG people in areas of support, information and friendship. We at
TGNI see this as a very positive step toward greater Transgendered
understanding and are therefore giving you this award to thank you for
your efforts. Together we can all help make a better future for us all.
Does this mean I get to walk down a red carpet in a glamour gown while
hoards of photographers eagerly snap my beaming face?! Well, it might
not be as glamorous as an Oscar, but I'm dead chuffed anyway. So here's
the award in it's full glory:
One small step for TGirls, one big step for Dani's
T-Room!
